New Year's 2008

Phil and I spent a few days in Springfield,Mo. with several brothers of Millie's and many family members. We had a great time meeting neices and nephews we hadn't met before and re-acquainted ourselves with the one's we hadn't seen in quite a few years. We had a great time. We stayed with Sherman and MaryJean, who always is so hospitible to us. New Year's Eve was at Odell's and Juanita's home with their kids and grandkids. We had an "adult" dinner with just Odell, Juanita, Sherman, MaryJean, Lurese, Phil and I at Sherman and MaryJean's home. On Friday, Lurese had us over to see her family. We hadn't seen her kids in many years. I got to talk with Kevin (nephew) for a very few short minutes. Also chatted with Monte (nephew) Everyone has grown up and it made me feel "older." :) :) Guess that happens. The drive is only 3 hours, which is the shortest distance I have been from my family in many, many years------------since I was 18! We were there before we felt we had even left and it's so great to be able to drive over whenever we want to get together!!!! Thank God!!! I had an asthma attack on New Year's Eve after the family get-together, which was tramatic. Sherman took great care of me! We went to Branson with my brother's and wives before we left. We can home early as I was feeling badly! Better days ahead in 2009!
